To improve communication between Asia Pacific credit information institutions, the People’s Bank of China and the World Bank co-hosted the Symposium on Credit Reporting in Asia Pacific and Personal Data Protection. Almost 200 representatives from the People’s Bank of China, banks from all over the world, and various credit information government officials were in attendance. Issues relating to the reform of the credit system in Asia-Pacific development, small business credit services, credit bureau services such as data analysis and fraud prevention, as well as the protection nof personal data where the key discussion points of the symposium.
